Laddie
Laddie is the last of the
Weatherwax Lassie Dogs.
Any dog portraying "Lassie"
in any current venue is NOT
a Weatherwax Trained Dog,
or a Weatherwax Collie.
(Yes, there are Collies
descended from Laddie;
most notable, of course,
is our Hammer.)
Laddie is the FIRST generation
Weatherwax Collie to represent
a New Direction for the
Weatherwax Trained Dogs;
Representing the foundation of
the Weatherwax Lassie Dogs,
but holding the tradition and
the values of
Rudd and Bob Weatherwax.

Bob and Laddie were invited to visit
Edwards Air Force Base
in Southern CA. on April 10, 2008
in commemoration of the annual
Pauncho Barnes day celebration.
The Weatherwax Collies have a
long tradition with the
U.S. military, and particularly
Edwards AFB.
